Holland Nurseries proudly serves St John's and surrounding communities, including Mount Pearl, Torbay, Portugal Cove-St. Philips, and Conception Bay South. We are widely recognized as a leading florist and garden center in Newfoundland. In business since 1947, we have more than half a century experience working with fresh cut flowers and flowering plants, and producing high quality floral designs. Many of our ornamental and flowering plants are grown on site in our own greenhouses. We understand intimately what is required to ensure the highest quality in everything we sell.

Holland Nurseries was originally established by Dutch horticulturists who came to Newfoundland after World War II. The present owners and staff remain committed to the tradition of excellence, high aesthetic values and honesty in business that is Holland Nurseries’ hallmark.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff, many of whom have been working at Holland Nurseries for more than 20 years, take pride in providing attentive, personalized service to all of our clients, both individual and corporate. Because all of our customers are important, our professional staff is dedicated to making your experience a pleasant one. That is why we always go the extra mile to make your floral gift perfect.

Our shop is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

A local delivery fee will be added to each order, for each address. The delivery charge for most addresses in St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Paradise, Torbay and Kilbride is $9.00. Higher charges apply for deliveries to outlying communities. In any case where we are unable to find an affiliated florist to fill the order for the total amount you have paid, we will contact you to make suitable alternative arrangements before charging any amount to your credit card. Orders must be received before 2:00 p.m. in the recipient's time zone to assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day. We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at specific times of day, but we cannot guarantee it. We offer same day delivery, Monday through Saturday. Deliveries requested on Sunday will be delivered the following business day. Delivery of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed. Orders for delivery outside Canada and the United States cannot be placed through this website. Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
